The Newton County Recreation Commission Cheerleading program is for girls 5-12 years of age. This program is designed to introduce cheerleading, cheers and techniques to the youth of Newton County. The participants cheer for our football program from September to early November. It is a stepping stone and training for girls that plan to enter the cheerleading programs in Middle and High Schools.  Teams are allowed to practice two times during the week and once on the weekends.
