Baker Field is located on Conyers Street next to the Conyers Street Gym. This is a small field that is used by youth baseball and softball teams for games and practices. Baker Field is a community field that is available to the public when activities are not scheduled.

Baker Field is named after the late Buddy Baker.  A pioneer of early baseball in Newton County. 

From Conyers: Take I-20 East to Covington Exit 92 (Alcovy Road). Turn right off exit ramp.  Continue on through 2 traffic lights and 2, 4-way stops.  At final stop sign when road dead ends at Conyers Street, turn left onto Conyers Street and the field is down on the right. 

From Augusta: Take I-20 West to Covington Exit 92 (Alcovy Road). Turn left off exit ramp. Continue on through 2 traffic lights and 2, 4-way stops.  At final stop sign when road dead ends at Conyers Street, turn left onto Conyers Street and the field is down on the right
