The Newton County Recreation Commission has a total of fourteen
parks spanning the county. The nearly 300 acres of park land
offers the public a great place to participate in recreational
activities or just relax.

City Pond Park and Turner Lake Complex both offer the beauty and the serenity of a park on the lake. Most of the facilities are available for rent by the public. All of the parks are handicapped accessible and are constantly being improved to meet the demands of the public.
