Miracle League Poster Southern Gospel Benefit Concert

March-April, 2010 - The Miracle League of Newton County, in coordination with The Oaks Golf Course, will have an ongoing raffle of a Fantastic Braves Package (including an autographed Hank Aaron bat) during the months of March and April. May 7, 2010 - Chick-fil-A Leadercast Event -- will be simulcast live, from the GA World Congress Center, to the Newton County Recreation Commission/Turner Lake Complex. The Leadercast is bringing together nine powerful leaders for one purpose: to transfer their most prized leadership principles to other leaders across North America. Discover the principles and practices these leaders live by, work by, and lead by. Tickets for the Newton Simulcast are $85.00 (includes lunch). Thank you for helping to make a Miracle Happen! “If you Build it….We will come” Newton County Recreation Commission, Covington Rotary Club, Covington Kiwanis Club, The Covington & Oxford Lions' Clubs and The Friends of Newton Parks have all joined together in partnership to build the first ever Miracle League Field in Newton County. The complex will include a custom-designed field with a cushioned rubberized surface to help prevent injuries, wheelchair accessible dugouts, and a completely flat surface to eliminate any barriers to wheelchair-bound or visually impaired players. Accessible restrooms, a concession stand, and picnic pavilion will also be incorporated within this design.The complex will be built at City Pond Park in Covington. With the help of community volunteers and companies, Newton County’s very first Miracle League complex will provide the opportunity for all children to play baseball regardless of their physical ability. Your contribution to the Miracle League Field project could make a difference in a child’s life. Donations can be made, by check, to the Miracle League Account at any Newton Branch of The Bank of North Georgia.
