Facility Rules
Newton County Residents may rent specific areas within the community center based on availability. Before an event, the renter must review the rules and regulations stated on the facility rental application.
General Rules
- Rental payments must be made in full to hold reservations.
- Facility must be left in original condition to avoid charges for damage.
- When renting, set up and clean up time must be included in the rental time and fee.
- Guests are restricted to the specific area rented and the restroom area.
- An adult must accompany children at all times.
- No alcohol or tobacco products are are permitted in the community center or any other recreation department property.
- Food and drink are allowed in designated areas only.
- Cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made less than two weeks in advance of the day of rental, a 50% refund will be given.
- An additional $25 per hour is charged for any reservations made after normal hours of operation.
- No pets are allowed in the softball complex: in other areas pets are allowed but must be on a leash.
- No Bikes, Skate Boards or Skates are allowed in the Softball Complex.
- Fishing is allowed at Turner Lake. You must have a Georgia fishing license.
- No Boats Allowed!
Rules for Gym
Anyone entering the gym must have an ID. This may include a student ID, Senior Membership Pass, Recreation Membership Pass or Driver's License. If you do not have any of the listed ID's you may purchase one at the front desk for a fee of $5. ID's will be kept at the front desk while you are using the facility. No exceptions.
- Everyone must check in at the control room counter. Identification is required.
- An adult must accompany children under eight years old.
- Appropriate apparel must be worn at all times, including shirt and shoes.
- No tobacco is allowed in the facility.
- Food and drink are allowed in designated areas only.
- Gambling is strictly prohibited.
- Vandalism, theft or destruction of property will not be tolerated.
- No alcohol is allowed on park grounds.
